Oeiras - And the winner is: “Cogumelos de Alcobaça” - Alcobaça mushrooms. For the third time the Portuguese biotech association APBio and the Portuguese agency for Investments, Trade and Tourism (ICEP) organized the Bioentre-preneurship Contest. The jury decided to award one project that received Euro4,000. The winning team was formed by Dr. João José Inácio Silva from Universidade Nova de Lisboa and Sandro Filipe Inácio Silva.
After the final selection there were seven projects, four of which were presented to the contest's jury to validate the technological base support of the idea and venture capitalists to evaluate the viability and structure of the Business Plan. In this third edition the jury was constituted by the following entities: Taguspark, Changepart-ners, PME Capital, Tecminho, Universities do Minho and Complutense de Madrid, IAPMEI, ICEP and APBio.
