Collaborating With Germany
Warsaw - The Polish Minister of Scientific Research and Information Technology and the German Federal Minister of Education and Research have agreed to expand the collaboration between the two countries in the field of Life Science Research. Scientists from both nations will team up within the next three years to examine neurological and neuropsychiatric diseases such as Epilepsia, Multiple Sclerosis, Alzheimer or Parkinson's disease. The research project is funded by the Polish and German ministries with some six million Euros at an equal share.
From a large pool of universities and non-academic research facilities that have applied for the project thirteen groups were selected by a bi-national panel of experts. The collaboration between Poland and Germany is intended to contribute to the establishment of an European Research Area and to strenghten the relationships of the two neighbours.
