Improving ties between clusters
Oslo/Toulouse – The Norwegian Oslo Cancer Cluster and French Toulouse Cancer-Bio-Sante Cluster have announced they will be strengthening their collaboration. As a first step, the two are hosting a new conference to be held on September 3rd-4th (2009) in Toulouse. This 1st European Cancer Cluster Partnering Conference (ECCP2009) will bring biotechs, diagnostics firms and drug delivery companies face-to-face with investors, big pharma, and Phase 1 units at European university hospitals. “There are an increasing number of biotechs in oncology with products entering clinical trials that need to partner with pharma and investors,” explained Bjarte Reve, CEO of the Norwegian cancer cluster. “Initial response to the conference has been excellent, with both Sanofi Pasteur and Roche agreeing to be primary sponsors,” added Jean-Pierre Saintouil, CEO of the French cluster.
