Free of Rabies
Ivanovice na Hané - The Ministry of the Czech Republic and the Czech State Veterinary Authority reported recently that the country is free of rabies after the use of Bioveta a.s.' vaccine Lysvulpen for wild foxes. Since the beginning of the aerial setting of vaccination baits 10 years ago - containing a modified attenuated rabies virus, SAD Bern, in 2003 there was zero incidence of rabies. The animals' immune system is activated after the attenuated virus contacts the mouth or nasopharynx mucous membrane. The induced antibodies ensure a protective immunity for at least one year.
