Government to put more money into life sciences
Luxembourg – The coming year could be a turning point for research policy in Luxembourg. After years of restructuring following changes in European law and the foundation of Luxembourg University in summer 2003, the Ministry for Research and Education is planning to support the country’s research landscape and put it on an internationally competitive basis. The “Fonds National de la recherche” is headed by Research Minister Francois Biltgen. Eight years after its inception, the funds finance research and structural programmes and continue to play a coordinative role in the complete public research landscape. In all, the funds have been supported with a67.2 million.
