Graz - Early in October the 'Know-ledge City Graz for Medical-, Bio- and Human Technology' was inaugurated. The Euro14 million-construction project will be run by the Styrian economic development agency SFG. It is the declared aim of the new Impulse Centre to improve the transfer of know-how between companies and research institutes, according to Prof. Dr. Gerald Schöpfer, the Styrian minister for economy. In addition to this first construction phase with a floor space of 3,500 m2 a second one of the same size will be opened in 2005. “The Impulse Centre will provide innovative companies with the ideal framework and infrastructure to develop in the vicinity of renowned companies such as Roche Diagnostics,” said Dr. Burghard Kaltenbeck, Managing Director of SFG.
