The Accelerator programme brings biotechs to the US

13.09.2010

Prague – CzechInvest has called on Czech high-tech companies in the field of ICT, biotechnology, clean technology and microelectronics to apply for the Czech Technology Accelerator programme. Under the third call, which was published by the agency in mid-August, two to four companies can win a three-month stay at the Plug&Play Center in Sunnyvale. The competition is designed to attract companies with a self-developed product that are looking for US technology partners or venture capital, or are planning to establish a US distribution network or office.
“The CzechAccelerator programme makes it a much easier to reach the North American market,” says Hynek Cihlar,

Director of BoldBrick, a Prague-based start-up that recently opened a US office. To apply, companies have to send a business plan, a description of the product under development and its prospective market to accelerator@czechinvest.org. Deadline for applications is September 30th, 2010
