Prague - The International Association of Pharmaceutical Companies (MAFS) in the Czech Republic has re-elected Petr Svoboda, head of Novartis in the Czech and Slovak Republics, as chairman. The association also elected a new seven-member governing board: Petr Capek (Amgen) and Vladimir Stary (Boehringer Ingelheim) were elected first and second vice-chairman, along with Adriana Fifikova (Serono), Marc McClung (GSK), Robert Weigl (AstraZeneca) and Ivo Zidek (Sanofi-Aventis). Jana Mikova continues as executive director.
